6	Unemployment Claims Flow States either send claims electronically to UCC, Inc. or send them by US mail. UCC, Inc. acquires information about the former employee from the employer database. The human resources department is informed that an unemployment claim has been filed.
7	Unemployment Claims Flow - continued An unfavorable determination is protested and a revised determination or a hearing notice is then generated. UCC, Inc. and the employer’s witness will represent the employer at the hearing. UCC, Inc. will review the decision and appeal unfavorable decisions to the Board of Review, Appeal Board, etc. UCC, Inc. represents the employer at all four levels of the unemployment process: claim, determination, hearing, board appeal.
